Delicious pies and bread. They also have ice cream and some really nice picnic tables to relax on.
Very low stress, quiet place to stop and take a break. Homemade pies & ice cream. Stopped here while traveling through Utah on a motorcycle trip. Glad I did. Cool scenery and off the beaten path. Kinda reminded me of where they filmed The Hills Have Eyes! :)
I’ve been to this place twice while at Capital Reef National Park. The first time I had a mixed berry pie. I wasn’t too certain about getting another one the next at, but after doing both the Hickman Bridge Trail and the Cassity Arch Trail, it was an easy choice for a strawberry rhubarb pie…along with some ice cream :-)
Overall we are also disappointed by the industrial taste..
We bought 3 pies and we learned afterwards that all fruits and pies are imported from Texas. Besides I asked if there was cinnamon in the pies as I can't have it. I have been told no (except for the Apple pie) but there is cinnamon in every pie.. So the people working there do not even now what are the famous pies made of...
Not sure if the pies are so good because of the hiking I did before I ate it or it is just good... Either way I really enjoy the Apple pie and the peach pie (I only tasted the peach, I didn't eat two).
